Editorial Standards

iReportSource publishes content to help safety leaders run stronger, more compliant programs. Because workplace safety is a high-stakes topic, we hold our content to a clear standard for accuracy, expertise, and transparency. Here is how we research, review, and maintain what we publish.

1. Reviewed by safety professionals

Every article is reviewed by members of the iReportSource safety team — Certified Safety Professionals (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technicians (CHST), and OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainers — for technical accuracy before it is published.

2. Grounded in primary sources

Regulatory claims, penalty figures, and recordkeeping requirements are drawn from primary sources such as OSHA, NIOSH, and the National Safety Council. Where a figure can change year to year (for example, OSHA penalty maximums), we cite the source and review it on a regular cadence.

3. Written from field experience

Our content reflects real-world safety work — running programs, managing OSHA inspections and abatement, and conducting audits in manufacturing, construction, and food production — not generic, AI-generated filler.

4. Kept current

Evergreen articles are reviewed and updated as regulations and best practices change. When a guide is materially updated, we revise its content and its publish/updated date rather than leaving stale information in place.

5. Transparent and corrected openly

We disclose when content is published by iReportSource and aim to evaluate any tools or competitors fairly. If we get something wrong, we correct it. To report an inaccuracy, email support@ireportsource.com.
